Lok Sabha polls: Neiphiu Rio and family vote

Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio and his family including his wife Kaisa Rio, also cast their vote in their native village Touphema in Kohima district on April 19, Friday.

Chumoukedima, Nagaland, April 19 (HBTV): As voting to the 18th Lok Sabha elections began across India, Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio and his family including his wife Kaisa Rio, also cast their vote in their native village Touphema in Kohima district on April 19, Friday.     



Rio arrived at a polling station in Touphema with his family and received by community leaders. After casting his vote, the chief minister talked to the waiting media outside. He spoke about a need for peaceful voting.  



In regard to the eastern districts’ abstaining from voting, Rio spoke about the eastern communities being served a notice to not vote. He said to wait and ‘see’ how the situation turn out.
